Chiropractic Treatment Adelaide
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care is a popular healthcare choice for many Australian adults and children. In Australia there are more than 12 million visits to chiropractors each year.
The fundamental philosophy of chiropractic is to provide a natural approach to healthcare; allowing the body to naturally heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.
Chiropractic concentrates on the intimate relationship between the structure, primarily the spine, and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.
The basic concept of chiropractic is based on the fact that the nervous system controls every cell, tissue, and organ in your body. When vital nerve communication pathways are interfered with, as can occur with a variety of structural and/or functional problems in the spine, the body and the brain stop sending accurate information to each other, resulting in dysfunction and most commonly presenting as pain.
Everyday occurrences such as poor posture, slips and falls, or lack of exercise can cause the bones of your spine (vertebrae) to lose their usual motion or position. Chiropractors refer to this abnormal motion of the vertebrae as a Vertebral Subluxation.
Symptoms
When your spine is not functioning at its best it can set off a chain reaction affecting the vertebrae, nerves, muscles and soft tissues, often resulting in degenerative changes throughout the body.
These changes can include (but are not limited to) pain, tingling, numbness, headaches or no symptoms at all. It is important to note that symptoms are often the last sign that something is going wrong. Many times there is an underlying problem that you are not consciously aware of.
Conditions
Whilst the general public typically associate chiropractic care helping with back and neck pain, there are other conditions that can improve following chiropractic care. We regularly have reports of improvements in conditions such as jaw and face pain, hip and shoulder bursitis, musculoskeletal associated dizziness and vertigo, migraine headache, musculoskeletal symptoms from asthma and chronic coughs, knee and ankle pain.

Our Chiropractors have completed a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters degree in Chiropractic over 5 years.
